Seal Team 3
Seal Team 3's purpose is to design a program that will help manufacturers track and predict their electricity and water consumption. In doing so we hope to reduce these consumptions in an effort to slow down climate change.
Development of Our Program
Design Notebook
Each milestone presented below represents a step in the Engineering Design process. Starting with Milestone 1, the Problem Statement, all the way to Milestone 9, the Final Program. Each step shows the development of our idea to the final product including revisions.
Milestone 1
Milestone 1 is the Problem Definition process. This is where we determine what problem we want to solve, who would be interested in the program, and what the program will achieve
Milestone 4
Milestone 4 is the Concept Reduction and Selection process. This is where we consider different approaches to creating a function and decide the best approach.
Milestone 7
Milestone 7 is the Beta 1 process. This is our draft program where we try to combine each member's part of the program to then correct and perfect. It is also when we draft our executive summary.
Milestone 2
Milestone 2 is the Problem Definition process with SMART Goal. This is where we define what exactly our program will do and our target user.
Milestone 5
Milestone 5 is the Rapid Prototype process. This is where we create a plan for how our program will flow and what functions will be used to achieve the desired output.
Milestone 8
Milestone 8 is the Beta 2 process. This is the second iteration of our program where we have solved most if not all of our errors and finalize the executive summary.
Milestone 3
Milestone 3 is the Idea generation process. This is where we write down all of the functions the program will have and what functions we will use to achieve the desired output.
Milestone 6
Milestone 6 is the Flowchart/Pseudocode process. This is where we have a more detailed plan on how the program will work, including pseudocode.
Milestone 9
Milestone 9 is the Final program submitted. There you will find our demonstration of the program and our final Executive Summary and final iteration of the program.
CoC
Seal team 3 is dedicated to working as efficiently as possible therefore we described each member's responsibilities and promises to the group for the length of the project. the document also shows the evolution of our needs as the project progressed.
